Our son and his wife had NEVER left their daughter with a sitter before. Compounding that, we didn’t know what our accommodations would be like, what the schedule of events entailed that weekend or how little Reina would react to any of it. To sum up, nanny Katie exceeded our expectations, handled those first few rocky moments brilliantly with understanding, love and humour. Instinctively we just knew everything was going to be fine and I could actually see my kids visibly relax the moment she walked through the door, smiling and eager. Katie went the extra mile too. She became nanny, friend, and family photographer. It is hard to describe, but she actually made our new little family have the BEST time when it could have been so stressful. I know whoever hires her from Portland Nannies will be extremely lucky. But most importantly, when she becomes a nurse, that profession will gain an amazing woman.
