- We are looking for nannies with a true passion and love for working with children. We ask that you have at least two years professional childcare experience. This could be as a nanny, babysitter, mother's helper, teacher, preschool teacher, daycare worker, volunteer, etc. We ask that there be at a minimum 2-4 childcare references that we are able to contact to verify your employment and abilities working with children.
- We are looking for nannies that are engaging, interactive, professional, loving, attentive, safety conscious, responsible, reliable, active, and willing to make a positive impact on a child and their wellbeing, growth, and development.
- We are looking for nannies that are willing and able to make at least a one year commitment, as the majority of our positions are seeking a long term match. We ask for the one year commitment to start, but most of our families and nannies continue on together for many years! There is great stability with our positions and, if and when the time comes to find your next family, Portland Nannies will be available to help in that new search.
- Nannies should have their own vehicle that they are willing to use to transport their child/ren to and from activities. Families will offer gas mileage reimbursement at the set IRS rate and Portland Nannies will provide guidance about an automobile insurance for both families and nannies.
- CPR certified or willing to become certified
- Willing to undergo criminal background check and DMV background reports
